As in last year, I didn't really dress up for the occasion, but just play safe by wearing a black dress...at least, I took the trouble to go home and get changed, re-apply my makeup before heading for the event on a Friday! This year, the organisers tried to make the Chairman speech less boring, by transforming into a Q&A session...however, the questions being asked were boring and too work-related...people just got carried away and ignored most of the conversations!
The highlight this year was the PwC Idol, where there were 8 contestants! We have 2 in-house judges and 1 finalise from the first series of the Singapore Idol, Daphne Khoo. Oh well, as if I've watched the show, but she does look familiar and very sweet! The scoring system was by way of 40% from judges and 60% by sms votes from the audience! Even though Chen Fah had the highest score from the judges, in the end, Jojo's friends sent many many sms-es to compensate for the difference. In the end, he won! This should be the highlight of the night! Most of us have almost forgotten about the traditional performance from the 3 lines of services! Contrary to previous years' result, Assurance has won the x-LoS prize...not bad...
